description
The overall aim of the project is to support farm businesses in Devon to maximise their potential and productivity through regenerative and innovative methods and practices.
Agri-Advisors will be available throughout the length of the programme to ensure consistent support, in addition to specialists and consultants to explore specific topics, testing and knowledge transfer.
The role of the Agri-advisors will be to work with the Project Manager to identify key areas of demand. Provide bespoke 1-2-1 support for beneficiaries. The Agri-advisor will also be required to support farm businesses by using the Innovation Toolkit as an initial diagnostic to the business and potential areas of improvement and/or diversification. In addition to this, the Agri-advisor will need to be able to use the farm carbon toolkit to support farm businesses through an initial carbon audit. This will allow a farm business to understand their carbon footprint, potential areas of decarbonisation and sequestration. It is expected that both audits will take between 8 hours. This should leave a farm business with approximately 10 hours of free support bespoke to the needs of the farm business and their business plan (please see further details in advisor support package below). This may be required early in the programme, but it is expected that it will be available as a consistent form of support - where a farm business can call them when they need them over the length of the programme.
Followed the Restricted Procedure below threshold.
