description

The University of Birmingham invites tenders for the supply of the following - Multi-hole pressure probe and data acquisition system

Multi-hole pressure probes are required to produce time histories of three dimensional velocities and pressures at points around moving vehicle models on the TRAIN Rig.

Velocities in minimum range of 0 to 40m/s, with a minimum accuracy of ±1%, at a minimum sampling rate of 1000 samples / sec. Ideally velocities of 0 to 100m/s, accuracies ±0.2m/s and sampling rates of 5000 samples / sec

Quotes are to be provided for a 4, 8 and 16 probes system (including suitable Data Acquisition System (DAQ)), with discounts for bulk buying if appropriate.

A minimum flow angle of ±45 degrees.

The necessary calibration equipment shall be provided.

A full data logging and processing system shall be provided, with the ability to download data to all common analysis platforms.

Ideally Probes should be plug and play i.e. they plug into the DAQ and enable rapid data acquisition.

  • The quote should include any on site installation of the system at the TRAIN Rig as necessary to enable rapid data acquisition.
