description
Manydown is a government-recognised transformational housing project comprising a land area of approximately 843 ha (2,080 acres) west of Basingstoke, which could ultimately see the delivery of 8,000 homes over two local plan periods and is being developed in a manner that is consistent with ‘garden town’ principles.
The councils are keen to engage the market in early discussions to consider the best approach to delivering the aspirations for this mixed use development with a partner through the use of a Joint Venture arrangement. Subject to performance on the initial phases, the preferred partner could continue to work with the councils through the Joint Venture arrangement to deliver the longer term potential of the project over a 25 to 30 year period.
