Investment Readiness

Worcestershire is one of the fastest growing economies in the country. This programme will build on the success of the previous Worcestershire Expansion Programme and the current Worcestershire Growth Fund funded by the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership growth deal.

The Worcestershire strategic economic plan is committed to attracting new business through promoting inward investment on key sites and supporting the expansion of existing businesses to further employment/economic opportunities.

Sustainable economic growth and business growth are key priorities for the County Council, the district councils and the Worcestershire LEP. Set out in our corporate plan the Open for Business strategy focuses on 'rebalancing' Worcestershire's local economy through a series of measures aimed at encouraging and supporting private sector investment, business and employment growth.

The Investing in Growth Programme will provide a comprehensive package of support, including advice and grants, for expanding businesses within Worcestershire. The programme is supported with funding from the European Regional Development Fund, County and District Councils and will provide coordinated inward investment support, investment readiness support and a grant programme to assist businesses to expand. Investing in Growth will stimulate enterprise, develop new market opportunities, encourage investment, create new jobs and facilitate growth.

The County Council is seeking to appoint a single service provider for the provision of Investment Readiness Support to small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as part of the Growth Programme.

The closing date and time for the Tender is 4pm on Friday 21st April 2017.
