Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (the Authorities) will be embarking on the re-procurement of Home Care Services.
The local authorities want to Develop a new, innovative, and sustainable model for home care as part of a new commissioning strategy.
We want the market to help support and develop:
- The Council's intentions to delivering on its Direct Payment Strategy to enable people who want to self-direct and manage their own care and support.
- Develop a new, innovative, and sustainable model for home care as part of a new commissioning strategy
- Understand the market's readiness for digital delivery of care coordination, payments system for care, onboarding of providers, digital quality assurance and how the use of technologies can support greater independence.
The City of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea anticipate the publication of the formal Invitation to Tender in Feb 2024. Interested parties should register on capitalEsourcing to receive notification once the opportunity goes live.
It should be noted that this is not a guarantee of further competition. The Authority reserves the right, at its own discretion, to withdraw from the process and pursue alternative routes to market for the provision of this service, should it decide to do so.
Prior to commencing any formal public procurement process, the Authorities, wish to engage with interested providers to ensure their expertise contribute to this services development. Providers with experience of delivering these types of services are invited to attend a virtual supplier engagement event on the morning of Tuesday 31st October 2023. This event will provide an opportunity to discuss the proposed service models and how the service will be delivered and developed in the future. We are keen to hear your views and utilise your expertise to commission a high-quality service.
