RUG - Whitehall Recreation Ground Play Area Works

Rugby Borough Council are looking for a contractor to carry out hard and soft landscaping to refurbish the existing children's play area at Whitehall Recreation Ground, off Hillmorton Road, Rugby as part of phase 1 improvement works. The works include:

• Removal of existing playground fencing, play equipment, site furniture and associated surfaces
• Removal of some existing tarmac footpaths / surfaces
• Importation of subsoil to form landscape mounds
• New permeable tarmac / bound gravel paving, aluminium edging
• New play / sports equipment and associated safety surfacing (in-situ wet pour and 'matta' type mats)
• Construction of oak post retaining walls for sand pit / raised play platform and installation of timber palisade posts
• Installation of new site furniture and relocation of some existing seats / bins
• Topsoiling, tree / shrub / hedge planting and turfing / seeding reinstatement works
