description
Rising above the North London skyline, Alexandra Park and Palace has provided entertainment and recreation for Londoners for over 150 years. The Palace of today delivers a high quality programme of cultural, sport and community events and activities enjoyed by millions each year.
Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust, responsible for maintaining and repairing the heritage assets requires expert support to develop a long term Strategic Vision to define the recreation, entertainment and cultural role of the Park and Palace as a public space for generations to come, supported by a spatial use strategy and a clear development path.
The Vision needs to recognise at its heart the heritage of the Park and Palace yet articulate what the assets intend to be in the future – the destination aspired to. It should also indicate in what significant ways they may be utilised differently from what they are today. The Vision needs to be more than a single statement; it needs to act as a framework for sustainable future development and investment.
Note: It is essential that potential suppliers can demonstrate sound and relevant experience and are able to demonstrate a record of successfully implemented strategies within both the heritage and charity sector, and in particular with clients holding similar estates, including buildings and parks.
Important: Tenderers selected for inclusion, will be required to attend a Supplier Day to view the site on 21st June 2016. Please ensure that you available to attend this event.
Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
