description

This appointment will support the Station Development team on transport and economic advice.

Following the recent publication of the Oakervee Review and the NIC Rail Needs Assessment call for evidence, there is a need to restate the economic case for the HS2 Eastern Leg (EL) and provide background evidence as to how the project can maximise connectivity and integrate with existing and future transport investments. Volterra will undertake a research piece updating the economic benefits anticipated to arise from the EL and examining how these benefits are enabled, maximised and spread by integration with other transport investments, and further facilitated by integration with other planning policies. The research piece will feed into the response from EL authorities to the NIC's call for evidence for the Rail Needs Assessment
