External Wall Insulation and Associated Works Programme 2015/16 to Swindon Borough Council Housing Stock

<b>External Wall Insulation to Property Types Programme 2015/2016 within Borough of Swindon</b><b>.</b><b> </b> Swindon Borough Council is seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake the installation of External Wall Insulation to BISF type properties within the Borough of Swindon. The contractor will be required to undertake works such as but not limited to: · ; The design, supply and installation of external insulated wall cladding system including structural repairs as required. · ; Remove existing roof covering and replace with new complete roof covering. · ; Replace Upvc windows and GRP doors. · ; Replace kitchen complete. · ; Replace bathroom complete. · ; Carry out electrical upgrade throughout the property. · ; Replace central heating system throughout the property. · ; Making good to the existing frame, structure, finishing's and surrounding areas as required. The contractor will be required to price the Pricing Documents detailed within Appendix R, including day works and provisional sums. The specification requirements are set out in the following documents: Appendix K - Performance Specification Appendix L - Schedule of Works Appendix P - Provisional Items Specification The Works will be divided into four Lots, further information is provided within the Invitation to Tender. The evaluation of tenders will be based on 60% total price and 40% quality. The contract will be initially for a period of one year commencing 4th January 2016 with an option to extend for a further one year periods subject to satisfactory performance. This is a competitive tender, and a contract will be awarded to the organisation that is deemed to represent the most economical and advantageous tender.
