<b>Bidder Event - Operator for the New Electronics </b> <b>and Photonics Innovation Centre (EPIC)</b> <b>DATE: Thursday 3rd September 2015</b> <b>14:00 - 16:00</b> <b>VENUE: Torbay Council, Town Hall, Torquay TQ1 3DR</b> The Authority is inviting tenders for the provision of management services and the delivery of specific project outputs, including facilities management, and business support services for the new Electronics and Photonics Innovation Centre (EPIC),<b> </b>located on a Torbay Council owned site at White Rock Business Park, Long Road, Paignton. The EPIC is an £8m, 3,700 sq metre specialist innovation centre which will promote research and innovation in the key enabling technology sectors of electronics and photonics both within Torbay and across the wider Heart of the South West geography. The project will support development of the photonics smart specialisation area through a flagship building with collaborative equipment, business support, office and clean room space to promote innovation and develop the growing high tech cluster in South Devon. The Centre will support businesses to commercialise research, develop R&D and access previously untapped funding streams to support innovation and bring forward new technologies to market.
