Sylva Foundation is seeking a suitably qualified supplier to supply, deliver and install/commission industrial woodworking machinery with the specification detailed below.

Requirements

Supply of:

  1. Surface Planer

With Spiral/Tersa Block minimum 500mm wide Minimum 7 KW motor

  1. Thickness Planer

With Spiral/Tersa Block minimum 600mm wide Sectional infeed roller Rubber outfeed roller

  1. Panel Saw

With electronic control (rise/fall & tilt)

Minimum 3m sliding table Scoring unit

  1. Spindle moulder

With electronic control (rise/fall)

With integrated Aigner fence

  1. 3 roller power feed unit for spindle moulder
  1. Large Bandsaw Minimum 500mm wheel diameter Minimum 4HP motor
  1. Cross cut saw 400mm blade - 550mm travel
  1. Rip Saw 500mm blade capacity

Delivery of all machinery to Sylva Foundation Wood Centre, Long Wittenham, Oxfordshire OX14 4QT.

Installation/commission of all machinery in the Sylva Foundation Wood School workshop, and induction/training into the installed machines.

Duration of Contract

The contract to deliver and install the machinery will be issued within four weeks of the tender response deadline.

Contract Value

The estimated value for this contract is £54,550 exclusive of VAT. Bids in excess of this will be excluded for being unaffordable.

Payment Terms

On awarding the contract, a 20% deposit will be paid.
70% will be paid prior to delivery and installation.
10% will be paid following induction and training.

Evaluation criteria

Please note that 50% of the evaluation criteria is allocated to price, the remainder on the technical specification of the machinery.

Return of Tender

You must complete and submit your tender response/proposal by email by the tender response deadline of 12 noon on 3rd April 2020.

You should send your tender to tender@sylva.org.uk

You must provide your tender on headed business paper, detailing the price and specification for each item separately, and any additional costs including delivery, installation, and training. This should be attached to an email.

We will not accept any responses submitted by any other method.

Any tender delivered after the closing date and time for any reason will be discounted.

The Sylva Foundation is not responsible if all or part of your tender is not received.
