With effect from Monday 17 September 2018, Birmingham City Council will be using CareMatch to operate its Flexible Contracting Arrangement for supported living, residential care and nursing care. To apply to join this contract, please use the link below:

Birmingham City Council are inviting suitably qualified and experienced organisations to express an interest for the Provision of Service Packages in Care Homes With and Without Nursing for Persons under the age of 65.

CARE HOMES WITH NURSING - Homes regulated and registered by the Care Quality Commission, to provide the same help and assistance with personal care as those without nursing care but they also have professional registered nurses and experienced care assistants in constant attendance that can provide 24-hour nursing care services for more complex health needs. These homes are for people who have been assessed as requiring a health care professional (nurse) delivering elements of care.

CARE HOMES WITHOUT NURSING

Homes regulated and registered by the Care Quality Commission where people live either short, temporary or long term. The homes provide help and assistance with personal care, continence management, food and diet and simple treatments.

Flexible Contracting Arrangements shall commence on 1 May 2018 and will remain open for applications until 31 March 2021 without the need for either party to give notice, unless terminated earlier in accordance with its terms.

The Flexible Contracting Arrangements may be extended for two further periods after 31 March 2021 of up to twelve months each by the Council giving the Provider three months prior written notice of its intention to extend the Flexible Contracting Arrangements
