Brief description:
Opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Moving with Dignity project team.
I'm pleased to share an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker to join the Moving with Dignity (previously known as single handed care) project to support in the implementation of this approach within Adult Social Care and Health.
Working alongside Occupational Therapist colleagues, this project will undertake a review and/or re-assessment of a person's needs to ensure that their care and support is delivered in the most dignified way which promotes their independence, improves their experience and enables choice and control in how care and support is provided. The reviews will be undertaken for people who currently receive a package of care of more than one carer where they require assistance to move i.e. hoisted to transfer.
We are looking for a Social Worker to join the project from January 2023 until at least March 2023. Applicants will already in be in roles as a Social Worker and have an understanding of the underlying concepts and principles relating to Manual Handling and how focussing on delivering care and support with a more individual and dignified approach can be achieved.
This post requires an Adults Enhanced DBS check and valid HCPC/SW England Registration. Candidates must possess a Social Work Degree, Dip SW, CQSW or Equivalent.
Hours: 37 per week. Hybrid working between home and The Independent Living Centre, 100 Oldbury Road, Smethwick, B66 1JE.
Candidates must possess a Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW or equivalent.
Candidates must be registered with Social Work England and hold an Enhanced Adults DBS check.
