Catering concessions - Bandstand music events 2020

Portsmouth City Council is seeking to appoint operators to provide food and drink catering units/stands for Bandstand events during the summer of 2020.

The Council is seeking to award multiple contracts so we can realise our objective to have a varied and exciting food and drink offer that changes throughout the bandstand event calendar.

All contracts will take the form of a service concession which will require payment to the Council from successful operators.

Bidders can bid for either or both of the following options stating their preference where needed;

• oOption 1: To operate on a Saturday and Sunday
• oOption 2: To operate on the Sunday event only

This will result in the Saturday bandstand having a single catering offer and the Sunday having two, which reflects anticipated demand based on past attendance figures. Please note that on a Sunday, where possible, the Council will avoid awarding contracts where both operators have the same or similar provision.

One of our key objectives is to have concession operators in place on the usually quieter Saturday dates, therefore these submissions will be prioritised.

Due to the presence of other vendors nearby, ice cream vendors will not be considered for this opportunity.
