Independent Monitoring Systems for Residential Application

Centrica plc's Cornwall Local Energy Market project (LEM) is a part EU funded pioneering initiative involving the development of a virtual marketplace. The trial provides participants (homes and businesses) with a platform to buy and sell energy and flexibility both to the supply networks and the wholesale energy market. The project will also be installing new generation, and energy storage solutions, which will allow us to explore how individuals and businesses interact with the technology.

Centrica plc wishes to appoint a Supplier to provide monitoring systems for Residential application. Independent monitoring systems for 100 domestic properties will be procured to measure up to 4 single phase, alternating current, bi-directional electrical energy flows - including grid connection, on-site generation (solar PV or wind), battery energy storage system and other major electrical demand such as electric vehicle charger.

The monitoring system will connect to an existing internet connection. The monitoring system will be provided with a platform that supports a "Real-time" dashboard, data analytics and the ability to bulk export of data. The platform along with technical support will be required for the duration of this project.

The Supplier may also be able to provide the installation of the monitoring systems, which is of interest, however the installation of the monitoring systems is not a requirement of this contract.
