description

We are looking for a Lead Technical Advisor (the Consultant) to provide independent support and advice to the Forestry Commission Project Team. We are looking to be able to call on advice and expertise, to "sense-check" areas of the Design and Build service that are outside of our own expertise.

Continuity of personnel is important, with the same Lead Technical Adviser throughout, drawing upon additional experts as necessary.

It will be necessary to work closely with the Principal Contractor and other third parties as necessary and attendance of regular meetings, whether site or Teams calls, will be a requirement.

The Consultant may be expected to carry out the role of NEC4 project manager and supervisor.

The Services are in two parts:

Part 1: A range of pre-construction project-related services relevant to a project at the equivalent of RIBA Stage 4.

Part 2: A range of construction project-related services relevant to a project at the equivalent of RIBA Stages 5 and 6.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
