The buildings locally referred to as Hut 7 & Hut 8 form part of the Civic Campus which accommodates Swindon Borough Council?s main office based operations located off Beckhampton Street, Swindon.
Hut 7 is a single storey timber Pratten Hut located adjacent to the perimeter of the campus and has historically been used for storage.
Hut 8 is a two storey modular prefabricated building, the first floor has been mothballed for a number of years and the ground floor previously accommodated the staff canteen and the environmental health lab.
Both buildings are considered to be in dilapidated condition and have come to the end of their life.
Swindon Borough Council requires a NFDC registered contractor to undertake the demolition of these buildings.
Construction service include:

Tenderers attention is specifically drawn to the proximity of these buildings to other buildings within the Civic Campus and Beckhampton Street which will need to remain operational throughout the works and are used by, residents, employees, service users, visitors and the public. This should be taken into consideration when pricing.
The Contractor will be a member of the National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC) and is expected to have expertise & experience of undertaking works of this nature.

Swindon Borough Council is seeking suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake the Demolition of Hut 7 & Hut 8 located within the Civic Campus
Swindon Borough Council requires a NFDC registered demolition contractor to undertake the demolition of these buildings; construction service include:

The contract will be let to a single contractor for a 8 week period.
The evaluation of tenders will be based on 70% price 30% quality.
Notification of intent and clarifications to the tender may be submitted up to 12 noon local UK time on Monday 30th May 2016 by email to Sophie Hayward at shayward2@swindon.gov.uk.
All clarifications relating to the tender will be posted on the Supplying The South West portal and contractors will be required to check on a regular basis. You will not be automatically notified when an update to the clarification log is made.
Responses are required to be submitted in alignment with the tender document no later than 12 noon local UK time on Monday 6th June 2016.
