We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed secondary-age experienced teacher to join Sandwell's Transition, Education and Partnership Service (STEPS) for International New Arrivals to Sandwell. This post is to start ASAP.

Sandwell has approximately 800 international children joining us every year; you would be employed to work 5 mornings per week 8.30am to 1.00pm (term time only) to plan and deliver a rich curriculum to a class of approximately 25 children from years Key Stage 3 & 4.

You should:

• oBe a qualified teacher with experience of differentiating resources for mixed ability classes with mixed year groups and needs.
• oAble to deliver a roll on roll off curriculum to a continuously changing class.
• oAble to teach National curriculum maths and English.
• oPlan, mark and assess children's work and give feedback.

Successful candidates must possess a Degree-level qualification along with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification with QTS.

They must also have Young Learners (YL) Extension to CELTA awarded by Cambridge ESOL or the Teaching Young Learners Extension Certificate (TYLEC) awarded by Trinity College London.

This role requires an enhanced Children's Barring DBS check.
