Cornwall Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced providers who can meet all of the legal requirements of Cornwall Council contracts. Skype For Business is part of the Council's wider IS Investment Plan to modernise and upgrade its ICT infrastructure.
Key Objectives
Cornwall Council are looking to explore options for Skype Compatible / Approved headsets and webcams to support its planned deployment of Skype for Business across the organisation. The Council wish to explore headset solutions both wired and wireless including noise reduction options. They also wish to explore webcam solutions for use on desktop PC's where laptops with integrated webcams are not available.
The Council has approximately 200 sites and 8,000 users who work in a variety of ways from office based to home working.
Office based staff mainly fall into two categories fixed location, with a static PC and in some cases dual monitors or flexible workers. Flexible workers hot desk, using laptops which connect to docking stations and provide an additional screen, mouse, keyboard and network connection.
Flexible workers will also use a VPN connection to connect from home or other remote locations.
The Council would like to look at options that meet these requirements and trial devices and solutions over a short period in late May.

This is a Request of Information at this stage, providers who make submission will be automatically invited to tender, once the council have decided upon the products that are required.
