EKFB JV - Precast Concrete UTX (Under Track Crossing) chambers system and adjoining duct works

NC2A is the North Chilterns to Aylesbury section of C23, a part of the HS2 project managed by the EKFB Joint Venture.

We are seeking a specialist subcontractor to undertake the following works within the NC2A section:

The Subcontract Works include the provision of all management, labour, materials, plant and equipment, supervision, and other resources necessary and ancillary to safely and correctly complete the installation and handover of Precast Concrete UTX (Under Track Crossing) chamber system and adjoining ducts , as described in the specifications, drawings, HS2 standards Requirements and local authority specifications.

The UTX system comprises segmented precast concrete chambers with precast concrete covers, seated on a precast concrete base. The precast chambers and covers shall be supplied and delivered to site by the Contractor for installation by the Subcontractor. Contractor will Undertake excavation works to the UTX duct formation level, subcontractor will complete excavation for installation of UTX Chambers and ducts.

The Subcontract works include, but are not limited to:

Dewatering of excavations as required.

Provision of edge protection to ensure that excavation is safe for works

Protection of all existing assets

Setting out the UTX in accordance with the design and specifications, using primary control points provided by the Contractor.

Transfer UTX Chambers from Laydown Area to point of installation

Installation of the UTX system comprising segmented precast concrete chambers using methodology provided in detailed design Install all units onto the precast concrete base slabs provided by the Contractor.

Install the full precast assembly, including the Precast concrete chamber segments and Precast concrete covers Install all components in accordance with the approved drawings, specified line and level, and manufacturer's instructions.

Supply and install all associated ducting, ensuring compliance with project specifications and drawings.

As part of installation, CBGM / Cast in situ concrete - minimum FND4 concrete around UTX and ducts to be done by Subcontractor Testing and handover
