Sunderland Software City (SSC) clients are highlighting the need for innovation road-mapping support and these demands continue to grow. This service will help eligible SMEs:
| • | Understand how their current products and services can be sold into new sectors; |
| • | Understand how their current markets and customers are evolving and how this may impact their business and/or business model; |
| • | Develop appropriate messaging to support the deployment of new products or services into current or new marketplaces. |
SSC require a consultant to deliver innovation road-mapping strategies to 60 eligible SMEs over 27 months within the North East of England. The purpose of this is to help SMEs to understand how new and existing products and services can be brought to a new market.
Each client will receive a minimum of 12 hours consultancy time which will consist of an initial fact-finding meeting, the creation of a high-level innovation road-mapping strategy, followed by a coaching session to explain how to implement the strategy.

Outcomes
We will expect outcomes of this work to be:
| • | Support to external businesses in the form of: |
| o | Initial client engagement after an introduction from a SSC team member. |
| o | Attendance at client meetings. |
| o | Provision of documents to clients as and when needed. |
| o | Completion of appropriate ESIF documentation (further detail will be provided to the preferred supplier). |
| • | Support to the SSC team in terms of: |
| o | Creating an understand of client needs. |
