Domestic Abuse - Non Convicted Perpetrator Programme

In North East Lincolnshire the Authority works with a broad range of agencies, such as the Police, Health and the third sector, using the 'One System Approach'. This way of working seeks to address these challenges by working together and putting in place real and lasting change. The Authority is doing this by strengthening our partnership working and investing in areas where the Authority need to improve. Research indicates that domestic abuse is prevalent in all neighbourhoods and it is not confined to particular communities, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or social status. With this in mind the Authority needs to ensure that all domestic abuse provision is tailored to meet the needs of all residents of North East Lincolnshire. The Authority are now looking to commission a voluntary perpetrator programme, offering an opportunity to perpetrators of domestic abuse who are concerned about their own behaviours to change these behaviours. Clearly, working to change the behaviour of perpetrators is paramount in protecting and supporting victims, preventing escalation and decreasing risk.
