Upgrade of Electrical Infrastructure at Basildon Mental Health Unit

Disconnect and remove existing main LV switchboard.

Provide new LV switchboard with incoming feed from existing transformer and new standby generator.

Re-serve all extisting sub-main services.

Carry out alterations to existing HV transformer to provide the new LV supply to switchroom.

Provide new standby generator dedictade to the Unit (this will serve all essential and non essential loads).

Disconnect and remove existing standby generator.

Carry out all construction, trenching, excavation work and builder work.

The works will be let under a JCT minor works contract.

During the course of the works 24 hour emergency response will need to be provided by the contractor in case of power failure or any other related problems. Due to the nature of the unit (an NHS Mental Health facility) we will require a maximum response time of one hour.
