description
Wiltshire Council, in partnership with Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group, is seeking to commission Intensive Rehabilitation (IRB) Beds and Delirium Care Beds for Wiltshire.
The purpose of IRBs is to support people who meet the eligibility criteria as they are discharged from acute and community hospitals. IRBs are short term, time restricted, goal-based periods of care that are supported by health and social care, with the aim to rehabilitate people to maximise their potential to live as independently as possible.
The purpose of Temporary Block Placement for People with a delirium is to provide support to those patients who no longer require care in an acute hospital setting, but who need continuation of treatment and support to enable them to return to previous levels of cognition.
This procurement is being undertaken in accordance with the light-touch regime (LTR) rules (PCR 2015 74-77). The Council therefore confirms that the LTR OJEU threshold and timescales apply, as does certain flexibilities with regards to the tender selection and award that are specified within this document.
