NHS Commercial Solutions is supporting Surrey Heartlands ICS explore the potential to source significant additional endoscopy capacity to assist in restoring services and meeting backlog demand following the first phase of the COVID-19 pandemic. The ICS is open to considering all options to mobilise additional capacity which could include:
- Managed service solutions with options to include staffing
- Mobile endoscopy capacity
- Static solutions, which may include the development of community diagnostic centres through the conversion of existing estate or development of new physical infrastructure
The intention is to mobilise additional capacity as quickly as possible in the immediate term while using learning and market scoping to shape the future strategy for optimising diagnostic capacity.
Additional information: This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is issued as a call for information without a call for competition by Surrey Heartlands CCG.
Please note that this PIN does not represent a formal stage in the procurement process and will play no part in any subsequent evaluation process. Expressions of Interest at this stage do not in any way constitute pre-qualification for this opportunity.
At this stage we are engaging the market with a view to understanding options ahead of a full Procurement Exercise.
Market engagement will commence the week of 27th July 2020 and more information will be issued directly to registrants the week before.

UPDATE 20TH JULY 2020: Virtual Pre-Market Engagement
Surrey Heartlands ICS is hosting a virtual pre-market engagement session with a view to potential future procurement. The session will comprise plenary and virtual break-out sessions.
The aim of the engagement is to

| 2. | Gain a better understanding from the provider market about potential solutions and best practice examples that will inform the development of a series of options and next steps |
