Overview.

Following the successful application for Sports England funding, Penkridge Leisure Centre and Wolgarston High School are seeking tenders to install photovoltaic solar panels to assist in the running of the swimming pool energy costs. We are looking for a full turnkey solution with all aspects of the project managed and implemented on our behalf.

The deadline for installation and commission is the 31st March 2025, all work must be completed and invoiced by this date. Please note this is at a school, enhanced DBS for all contractors will be required prior to start. Installation can take place during term time with suitable and sufficient RAMS.

Scope of Work: (not limited to, but to include)

Structural survey of the roof(s) to be used for solar installation, any of the school roofs can be used for the installation.
Full design and planning of the solar panel system.
Integration of the system with existing electrical infrastructure.
Integration with Immersion water heating if applicable.
Installation of the solar panels, inverters, and related equipment.
Safe access to panels / invertors or Man safe system installation where required for future maintenance.
Planning applications and permissions (if required).
Completion or support in completing Staffordshire council school solar panels permission document.
Commissioning of the system to ensure it is fully operational.
Compliance with all relevant planning laws and regulations.
Removal and disposal of all waste generated

Tender Requirements:

Full financials including payment schedule and terms, Total cost breakdown, including any estimated ongoing maintenance costs.
oCost for solar panels.
oCost for invertors.
oCost for any integration i.e. grid / water.
oInstallation costs.
oMan safe or safe access system details.
oFees for handling planning and permissions i.e. council and the grid.
oCosts for surveys.
Detailed proposal outlining the design and specifications of the proposed system including installation process and adherence to all building regs, H&S and CDM requirements.
Timeline of project including key milestones.
Evidence of ethically resources materials / equipment and ecological

considerations such as C02 impact of transport and manufacturing.

Qualifications and experience of the installation team.
References from previous similar projects.
Warranty and service information for the installed system.

Additional Information:

Site visits are recommended and scheduled between the 9th September 2024 and the 13th September 2024.
