Data formatted and standardised to meet UK and European marine data standards framework

Defra procuring on behalf of Natural England (NE):

The purpose of this contract is to improve Natural England’s marine evidence base by formatting and standardising marine datasets supplied by Natural England, so that they can be submitted to recognised UK data archive centres. Successful suppliers will have relevant expertise in GIS, marine ecology, marine data management and metadata generation for marine datasets. This will be to help Natural England’s national advisers to make the background data and metadata supporting NE’s marine evidence base publically available through nationally recognised data archive centres. We wish to establish a call off framework contract where we will look to appoint one or more suppliers to undertake the work as detailed in the specification.
