Requirements for the Design, Construction and Commissioning, of a Modular building to accommodate a Parents Accommodation and Clinical Genetics at Birmingham Women's Hospital
The Trust is currently engaged in the development of their Women's Hospital site which will involve amongst other works the demolition of Norton's Court.
This currently houses both Parents Accommodation and an element of the Trust's Regional Genetics facilities. These need to be relocated into temporary modular accommodation to allow the demolition works to proceed next year.
- B.This scheme comprises the requirement for the design, construction and commissioning of a new build Parents Accommodation comprising 7 single bed units each with its own en-suite together with a communal kitchen.
C With regards to the Clinical Genetics requirements, the desire of the Trust is for a two-storey build accommodating the following:-
5nr meeting rooms
8nr 2-person offices
Open plan office(s) for 93 workstations
Supporting accommodation including Toilets, Cleaner Store, Beverage
points, Comms Store, Storage, Stairs, Lift and Circulation.
- D.Both functions are to be accommodated in separate modular buildings. The Trust as a separate project will provide the necessary infrastructure services to provide the necessary power to accommodate the proposals.
