Replacement of Roof Coverings and Associated Repair Works at Field End Junior School

Project overview

Field End Junior School is a large educational facility which adjoins Field End Infants School. It is set in substantial grounds surrounded by a mixture of green spaces; playground and tarmacadam areas. It is located between Field End Road and Mount Pleasant Road. The main entrance and vehicle access is via Field End Road but, there is pedestrian access on Mount Pleasant Road which runs parallel.

Hillingdon is inviting you to tender for the following:

Field End Junior School

The Project Brief is to remove existing low profile metal roof sheets coated in asbestos mastic, and replace with a new roof. Review all other associated elements, and the adjoining flat roof areas for replacement or integration.

Objective of the Tender

The Councils aim is to select one Service Provider to provide the full range of services needed.

Appendix 3 sets out the Specification where we have identified what services will be required and on which services this tender will be evaluated.

It will be the responsibility of the Service Provider in accordance with the Contract to establish value for money proposals in relation to all elements comprising the Service.

If a selected Service Provider is unable to establish an acceptable proposal for each relevant part of the Service in accordance with this Invitation to Tender and the relevant Contract, then The Council will have the option to appoint an alternative Service Provider who can meet this requirement. In the spirit of a long-term relationship Hillingdon will not take such action lightly, but equally, the Council is making its requirements clear from the outset.
