Derbyshire County Council currently employs around 20 Gas Safe certified heating engineers in the heating section of Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Operations, who carry out work on behalf of the council's direct services organisation (DSO).
The Council is inviting tenders for a contract for the provision of Gas Training, Technical Advice and Audit Service.
As part of this contract M&E Operations require three main components:
- Gas Training including the micromanagement of expiry and renewal dates as well as the subsequent communication to operatives and staff of the Council.
- Technical Advise Service - on site and over the telephone (incl. out of hours).
- Independent audits (LPG, Natural Gas and Oil) as required.
