description

Oxford City Council (the City Council) is preparing a new Local Plan that will set the development strategy for Oxford until 2040. The Oxford Local Plan 2040 Preferred Options (Regulation 18) consultation will run for six weeks from Monday 3rd October - Monday 14th November 2022.

The City Council is seeking to appoint a consultant to undertake a Net Zero Carbon and Climate-Safe Adapted Buildings Feasibility Study. This assessment will form part of the evidence base for the Oxford Local Plan 2040 draft plan. The Climate Change Committee has called for all planning policies to be explicit on adaptation as well as Net Zero Carbon. We acknowledge that at times adaptation and energy efficiency can be in conflict if not well considered so we would expect this work to consider and respond to these different challenges.
