description
The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is the UK's National Measurement Institute and is a world-leading centre of excellence in developing and applying the most accurate measurement standards, science, and technology available.
Our current analytical High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) system is outdated and in need of replacement. The current system suffers from a number of drawbacks, which include slow injection cycles and the inability to use vial inserts without snapping the autosampler's needle. NPL synthesizes a variety of self assembling and oxidation prone peptides, whose QC is complicated by the aforementioned drawbacks.
NPL is therefore seeking to purchase an analytical HPLC, which will facilitate the rapid automated analysis / QC of peptides; whilst minimizing the time that sample vials are left in the autosampler's tray prior to injection. NPL is seeking a system that could ideally accommodate the use of vial inserts within chromatography vials, to minimise wastage of high value, purified peptides.
