The Environment Agency owns, operates and maintains a variety of different asset types used to deliver its flood risk management function.

There is a requirement on the Environment Agencyto carry out regular visual inspections on these assets. The results of these inspections are recorded on the Environment Agency Asset Information Management System (AIMS).

Key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the Client's asset management are defined in its guidance document LIT 13148 and listed below:

-KPI 881 (assets to be inspected at correct frequencies),
-KPI 962 (assets to be kept at appropriate condition grade),
-KPI 965 (prioritisation of works post-inspection), and
-KPI 970 (achievement of prioritised works).

The Environment Agency is seeking to appoint a Consultant to carry out a programme of Pre-SOC asset inspections to enable the Environment Agency to comply with it's KPI obligations.
