The University has recently been awarded funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) for the purchase of two units of gas chromatograph-flame ionisation detector (GC-FID) system, principally for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of a) lipids (and molecules of geochemical, biological and environmental importance that have been extracted from waters, soils, sediments, crude oils and biological materials) and b) hydrocarbon gases including but not limited to methane, etc. The system forms part of the One Planet Analytical Suite and will be housed in the GC Laboratory, (room 4.16) Drummond Building.

The requirements of the equipment can be found in Sections 3.2 and 3.3 of the ITT document.

The scope of this contract is for the supply, delivery and installation of the equipment detailed in the ITT to the University, with after-sales support and 36 months warranty and maintenance, all training necessary for safe and reliable operation of the system and a complete set of operating and maintenance documents.
