Void Security (Empty Property Security)

At any given point in time, whg has a number of void properties across the borough in which it operates. These void properties are at times located in some of our more vulnerable areas and the properties need to be secured using a variety of methods. The specification outlines the mechanisms required to secure these properties.

As whg extend their operation beyond the borough of Walsall and the outlying areas, it expects the contractor to achieve all the key performance indicators for all of its assets regardless of location and within the given time parameters.

These instructions are issued for the guidance of bidders and will not form part of the Agreement. However, failure to comply with these instructions may result in rejection of the Tenders.

whg is committed to the deployment of e-tendering methodology. This invitation to tender process will be managed via our electronic tendering solution hosted by Due North (referred to as Pro Contract or Housing Procurement Portal). All document exchange and communication between whg and selected suppliers will be via the system. The system provides a secure, auditable and efficient method of exchanging information and documents between the parties.

To access the Pro Contract system bidders must use their log-in details sent to them when registering for inclusion on the system. In the event that additional information or alterations are required to the tender documents prior to the closing date, whg will upload / send such amendments or supplements to all bidders electronically thus ensuring a fair and transparent process.
