description

Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group has sought to commission Audiology services though an Any Qualified Provider (AQP) process.

The services awarded are for a hearing assessment service, including hearing aid fitting (where required), rehabilitative support, follow-up and aftercare services for adults with no contraindications, who have suspected or diagnosed hearing loss.

Services are planned to commence from 1st July 2018 for an initial term of 4 years and 9 months, with a possible extension of any period(s) up to a further 2 years, as defined and at the discretion of the Commissioners. The Commissioner has a total budget available of £2.5 million per annum. The AQP process does not guarantee any business for accredited providers.

Please note the three commissioning organisations (NHS Bristol CCG, NHS North Somerset CCG, NHS South Gloucestershire CCG) have merged since the publication of the original contract notice.

This procurement was carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioner.

Additional information: The services are healthcare services falling within Schedule 3 to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ("the Regulations") which are not subject to the full regime of the Regulations, but is instead governed by the "Light Touch Regime" contained within Chapter 3, Section 7 of the Regulations (Regulations 74 to 77).
