The Future Cities Catapult accelerates urban ideas to market to grow the economy and make cities better. We bring together businesses, universities and city leaders so that they can work with each other to solve the problems that cities face, now and in the future.
The deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) sensors and solutions within cities provides the opportunity improve city and citizen services and reduce costs – for example, improved car parking, waste management, lighting, etc.
We need a Business Analyst/Research to lead, execute and deliver rapid business cases in individual cities.
This will involve:
Bringing together existing research;
Mapping the specific city services and current value chain;
Determining potential benefits and new sources of value that can be elaborated, and new services proposed;
Identifying full life-cycle costs of new solutions, including planning, deployment, management and support;
Capturing SME opportunities;
Producing a report accessible by city officials, service providers and technology companies to support their development of their business cases;
Working with one or more city to apply the methodology in their context.
The contract is for 3 months with the possibility of extension.
