description

NHS North West London Integrated Care Board requires two distinct types of remote monitoring reflecting the range of acuity the ICB will need to manage as part of the virtual wards programme:

Lot 1 - Continuous monitoring
Lot 2 - Spot monitoring

The objective was to procure a technical solution only, the Supplier will not be involved with the on-boarding, monitoring or off-boarding of patients beyond supporting the technical and logistical requirements which include but are not limited to providing technical support with devices or applications.

The solution should be capable of monitoring the patient for the duration of their stay on the Virtual Ward.

For Lot 1 - Continuous Monitoring there are 4 pathways which are currently being utilised or developed within North West London. These include subspecialty pathways within Respiratory, Cardiology and Gastroenterology and infectious diseases. NHS NW London ICB expect to stand up additional pathways which will include specific medical and surgical conditions as well as general medical and surgical pathways. A solution will be expected to be flexible to accommodate a variety of pathways which are still to be defined.

For Lot 2 - Spot Monitoring, there are 16 pathways which are currently being utilised or developed within North West London. These include subspecialty pathways within Respiratory, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology and Endocrinology. NHS NW London ICB expect to stand up additional pathways which will include specific medical and surgical conditions as well as general medical and surgical pathways.

Remote monitoring devices (hardware) are required as part of a managed service for both Lot 1 and Lot 2.
