The Director of Public Health (DPH) role is marking 175 years in Birmingham. Initially known as Medical Officer of Health until 1974, the DsPH have worked to protect and preserve Birmingham Health and improve Wellbeing for 175 years. It is important that the journey is captured, documented and mapped so, as a city and Council, along with its partners, we can reflect on the achievement of introducing this role.
