EARLY MARKET ENGAGEMENT - Print Design - PU-18/0268

The Office for National Statistics is running an EARLY MARKET ENGAGEMENT EXERCISE to engage with suppliers for support with design changes to print materials. The ONS will shortly be running a tender exercise for support with design changes as illustrated below.

Overview

The National Survey of Wales which is undertaken by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) requires support with design changes of existing materials which are sent out with the survey questionnaire. The design changes are to be completed by an external supplier, which then submit back to ONS to review and printed internally. This service was previously undertaken within ONS through the internal design department, but they no longer have the capacity to undertake this work, so this service will now be taken externally.

Requirement

The National Survey for Wales leaflet and letter has undergone a pilot which has been designed and implemented, however the main stage material will require a number of small changes in the coming months. The National Survey for Wales requires a design company that can implement changes written in English and Welsh to existing documents and then send them back in printer PDF formats to allow internal companies to print. All changes will be clearly drafted in ONS including the Welsh translation.

As this is a monthly survey this will be time critical, to allow new materials to be issued the following month.

Currently the materials used are A4, which are printed double sided, with one side in English and the other with the Welsh Translation.
