Waverley Borough Council is one of 11 Districts and Boroughs in the county of Surrey. The council has an annual turnover of £60 million, employs over 470 staff and provides more than 110 services to a population of 121,000. Waverley Borough encompasses an area of 345km2, containing 730km of road and 52,750 properties. Approximately 56% of collected waste from residents is recycled, placing Waverley in the top quartile of English waste collection authorities. Waverley are tendering for a new Refuse, Recycling and Street Cleaning Services contract to go live on 1st November 2019 and run for an initial 8 year period with two possible extension terms of 8 years each.
