YAS 198 - Make Ready Staffing Pilot

The Yorkshire Ambulance Service (NHS Trust) is seeking a supplier to deliver a ‘Make Ready Pilot’ to establish the longer term make ready model that will be deployed within the Trust. The pilot will operate at the Manor Mill Resources centre (just off Manor Mill Lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS11 8DF) where vehicles in the Leeds and Gildersome area will be processed on a twice a day basis. The supplier is to provide services that adhere to the supply of Make Ready and vehicle preparation programme specification.

Make Ready is the process by which the Trust will ensure that patient-carrying vehicles are clean, fully equipped and ready for action whenever and wherever they are required. This is a high performance service delivery model for the ambulance sector and encompasses cleaning, stock and logistics management, asset control, movement of vehicles, management of medicines .

The successful bidder will supply the Make Ready Operatives and manage the Make Ready Operatives for the duration of the pilot on a month by month basis to allow a full evaluation of the scheme.
