The Support for Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) Customers is specifically for the South Yorkshire District, where a gap in provision for Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) claimants not currently participating in the Work Programme or Work Choice, has been identified by the District. The claimant groups targeted by this provision are Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) Customers in South Yorkshire District who are not participating in Work Programme or Work Choice programmes. The claimant group targeted by this provision face multiple barriers to employment, such as:- management of health conditions, lack of financial and personal budgeting skills, lack of confidence and motivation, dealing with decision making. The support offered will focus on the specific barriers faced by ESA claimants, therefore enabling claimants to receive tailored support based on their individual needs.
