OJEU Notice Ref: 2015/S 138-254856 Title UK-London: HQIP NCA 172 National Joint Registry: Statistical Analysis Support and Associated Services. Contract Value & Duration: An estimated budget of £742,500 GBP over 36 months with a view to extend for up to a further 24 months. Estimated 5 year budget £1,275,000 GBP.

The Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) is seeking to procure the following services for the National Joint Registry for England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man:

  • NJR Statistical analysis, support and associated services;

HQIP is not only looking for organisations to provide these services but also to partner with other organisations that can demonstrate the following characteristics:

The National Joint Registry (NJR) currently comprises three core service areas, one of which is the Contract stated above. The first is a NJR Data management, solutions and associated services contract and the third is for NJR Communications. NJR Communications is currently delivered by HQIP.

HQIP requires an intelligence function applying sound statistical skills, academic rigour and clinical experience to provide intelligent analysis of the data to a wide variety of stakeholders.

The Statistical analysis, support and associated services Contractor is required to work and liaise closely with the NJR management team at HQIP and NJR Sub-committees – particularly the NJR Editorial Board, NJR Research Sub-committee and NJR Implant Performance and Surgeon Outlier Sub-committee – as well as the Data management, solutions and associated service contractor.

Key areas of work to include but are not limited to;

Analysis of standard datasets including implant, hospital and surgeon outcome measures for the NJR Annual report and on-going stakeholder information services;
Development of a robust statistical methodology for outlier identification and review of data validation;
Preparation of an annual research-ready dataset and ongoing research-ready datasets;
Targeted auditing of data quality;
Analysis of ad-hoc datasets under instruction from NJR Sub-committees;
Report finding and any limitations of the analysis;
Improve quality of datasets through data management and data cleaning processes.
