description

Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council are inviting organisations to submit proposals to provide a Healthy Workplace Service to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough employers.

The aim of the Service is to support employers to acknowledge the importance of positive employee health and wellbeing to their businesses and establish healthy workplace programmes through embedding systems and policies within their workplaces that improve the health and wellbeing of their workforces.

The programme increases productivity within workplaces supported by a demonstrable reduction in absenteeism that in turn will positively contribute to business, health and social care economies across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

The Healthy Workplace Service is to be universally accessible to employers in the area, but provision will be proportionate to need. Consequently there is a requirement to focus on employers of routine and manual employees and to target particular locations. The detailed requirements are defined in the Specification.

The service will be required from 1st June 2018 for an initial period of three years (up to 31st May 2021), with an option to extend by a further two years, taking the total Contract term to a maximum of five years. Any annual extension will be agreed between the Council and the Provider. The value of the contract over the initial three-year period is £220,000. The potential value of the two-year extension is £130,000. The Authority believes that TUPE does apply to this contract at its commencement. The deadline for completed ITTs to be received on the LGSS eTendering Portal is 12:00noon on 6th March 2018.
