description
The Council requires a Contractor to provide bar management services for events held in Islington Assembly Hall. This is a prestigious Grade II listed venue, which is hired out for a range of events which vary and include (not exhaustively) live music concerts, wedding receptions, conferences, networking events, civic events, council events and community events. Bar management services will be required for events at which the bar is open. Some weeks and months are busier than others. The type, nature and size of the event shall determine exact requirements of the bar management services to be provided. The venue is fully licensed and takings from the bar form our main source of income at some events. More information about the venue is available at www.islingtonassemblyhall.co.uk The requirement The successful Contractor will be required to source and manage a team of staff to work at events in this high profile venue. The contractor will work with the venue to train a designated pool of staff no smaller than 20 in total, and will ensure that no less than 10 staff are available to work all events. The venue will provide the contractor with training particulars, and will require the contractor to ensure that all staff are fully aware of what is required of them. The Council will notify the Contractor of required staff numbers for relevant events and the Contractor will agree the staffing details and arrange for staff to be available. The Contractor will submit an invoice for services provided, and ensure all staff are paid following recognised HR processes. The Contractors team will work together to provide a high standard of service to customers of the venue and to venue staff. The Contractor will ensure all required pre and post event checks are carried out following set venue procedures, and that sales are carried out in compliance with licensing laws. Contract Period The contract period will be for 12 months from an estimated start date 01/08/15 with option to extend up to a further 24 months at 12 monthly review intervals. Contract Value The estimated total value of this contract is £225,000 over the maximum 36 months term of the contract. This is based on £75,000 per annum.
