description
Torbay Pharmaceuticals wishes to establish a single provider Contract for the provision of Cultural Change Programme. There is a culture within the business (stemming from the NHS command and control approach to management) which has created a culture of covering ones actions i.e. "if it is in the system then I can't be blamed". Although in reality at a local level within TP there isn't a blame culture at a senior level. The business employs 170 people many of whom have been in the business in excess of 15 years. Behaviour and current approach are firmly embedded within the organisation. There is across the business a reluctance to make decisions (even the most basic ones). This may stem from a previous regime where most decisions no matter how small ended up at the top and often decisions that were made were over turned. There isn't a culture of challenging or feedback especially around how we do things in order to achieve continuous improvement. Across the business colleague accept the way we do things and don't seem able to raise suggestions for improvement/change. At a Executive Level over the last 10 months the business has appointed a new - Managing Director - Finance Director - Commercial and Strategy Director - The acting interim MD has moved to the post of Technical Services Director The team recognise the challenges the business faces and are all supportive of the change programme. TP are looking to achieve the following outputs from a cultural change programme that centres on - Becoming a learning and development organisation - Changing our approach to how we quality and how the QMS system is managed and used on a daily basis. - Creating an open environment where there is healthy challenge at all levels and across the organisation. - Creating an environment where colleagues feel able to make decisions without consequences. Delivery of a programme to embed the new ways of working across the entire business so that it becomes BAU. • Cultural chang
