The Cricks’ current strategy is to use Sharepoint to support the Crick’s electronic data management requirements. In order to support Sharepoint adequately, IT&S will continue to make use of 3rd party skills.

The brief below outlines the key deliverables to be achieved under this contract:

Design, setup and configure SharePoint site collection and team sites
Setup and configure libraries
Create custom list formats & layouts
Modify navigation items and layout changes depending on scope
Advise users on best practice setup and use
Complete any remedial work as a result of prototype reviews and acceptance testing
Modify the look and feel of SharePoint using supported web techniques
Modify the default SharePoint behaviour and look and feel using JavaScript/jQuery
Develop a high level design of any new sites requests for build and acceptance into production
Analyse and advise on new workflow requirements, managed through requirements gathering and Statement of Works (SoW)
Assist in migration of data from other existing document repositories to SharePoint
Conduct training for users and technical support teams, one to one and group/classroom lead sessions
Details of the configuration approach and methodology adopted.

The Crick is looking for a relationship with a supplier to develop a consistent approach and methodology for Sharepoint development, and be able to tap into known resource as Sharepoint development projects are identified.

The budget for this activity is capped at £160,000 excluding VAT, over the next 24 months. The expectation is that there will be a number of Sharepoint development requirements over the next 24 months. The scope and value of these requirements has not fully been identified, but will not exceed £160,000 ex VAT.

Additional information: A reciprocal non disclosure agreement will be required between the Crick and each interested party prior to joining the procurement process.
