Integrated Sexual Health Services - Supplier Engagement Event

For the avoidance of doubt, this notice is for the purpose of conducting a market engagement event, and does not formally begin a procurement process or constitute any commitment by Cornwall Council (“CC”) to undertake any procurement exercise. Furthermore, potential bidders will not be prejudiced by a failure to respond to this notice or attend the market engagement event. Potential bidders must also note that a response to this notice does not guarantee an invitation to participate in this or any future procurement that Cornwall Council may conduct, nor that Cornwall Council will procure any such supply and services or accepts any proposals offered. Any procurement of the services by Cornwall Council will be carried out strictly in accordance with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

Cornwall Council are currently exploring a range of options regarding the delivery of an Integrated Comprehensive Sexual Health Service, and would like to take this opportunity to invite prospective suppliers to a market engagement event.

Sexual and reproductive health is an important and wide-ranging area of public health; most of the adult population of England are sexually active and having the right interventions and services in place can have a positive effect on both population and individual health and wellbeing.

This aim of the event is to seek input from the supply chain as to what might be the most potentially attractive way of packaging and scoping any future procurement opportunity. This exercise will also provide an opportunity for CC to obtain an insight into how potential providers might approach the delivery of the services in question. It will also offer a useful early insight into the likely level of interest in the proposed project from the market. All of which will invariably inform the Council’s optional appraisal and service delivery recommendations.
