SCC APC The Supply and Distribution of Sandwiches, Rolls and Related Products

Pelican Procurement Services Ltd. acts as a Purchasing Agent for Surrey County Council, who delegate the responsibility of purchasing food and food related products to Pelican Procurement Services to prepare, evaluate and make recommendations for awarding of contracts on their behalf. It is the Pelican Buying Company’ duty to manage the tender process, recommend the award of the contract, and to manage all purchasing and quality standards after the contract award.

Surrey Commercial Services operates catering functions on behalf of Surrey County Council and their operations consist of schools and civic offices.

The number of locations may vary over the course of the contract and may increase or decrease based on the needs of the Council. The numbers included in this specification are based on current best knowledge and are not to be a taken as a guarantee of levels required.

The Council’s aim through this Contract is to appoint a supplier of sandwiches to Surrey County Council, the supplier is expected to work alongside the Catering Departments to improve the current ‘grab and go’ provision by providing varied and interesting choices, new ideas and exciting promotions aimed at both students and staff, to encourage healthy eating and to work within a value for money ethos.

Period of Contract - Two Years (24 months)

Possible Extension Period - One year (12 months)
